JSON Editor

The JSON Editor is a tool inside the builder that lets you edit complex attributes. By complex attributes we are talking about dictionaries or lists that can have other lists/dictionaries embedded - all defined as a single string value.

Imagine you have a very long string that defines this python dictionary:

It would be a nightmare to adjust that directly. But with the JSON Editor it's a charm:

And it's very straight forward to use. You have all those tools, which for the most part you can find in the right click menu:

  • duplicate
  • copy/paste
  • rename
  • remove
  • filter items fields at the top of each column
  • ordering items with up/down buttons (only appear on lists)

Look at how few clicks are needed to remove all pinky items:
